Holiday NICU Packing Checklist: What to Bring for Comfort & Calm 

10 items to pack that help you stay present, comfortable, and calm during long visits:

  1. Warm layers (sweater/hoodie, cozy socks) since NICUs are often cool.

  2. A warm Blanket or thick shawl

  3. Your own pillow from home.

  4. Water bottle (Be sure to stay hydrated)

  5. Your favorite snack

  6. Portable battery pack

  7. Headphones/earbuds- use noise-canceling ones for quiet moments

  8. Journal/prayer cards + pen

  9. Bible/devotional 

  10. Breast pump & milk supplies

This checklist is made for moments when you’re exhausted, overwhelmed, or short on time. Keep it simple, keep it close, and use what helps you breathe a little easier.
